Admission and application

Programme durations and per-programme language are not stated on the AUC pages read. Transfer applicants need GPA of at least 2.0 on a 4.0 scale.

Language requirement: All new undergraduate students must show academic English proficiency (TOEFL, Academic IELTS or Duolingo); AUC does not exempt solely by citizenship or English-medium school; exemption criteria include four consecutive years of English-medium secondary school in an English-official-language country, AP English 4+, IB English-medium coursework etc. Placement into rhetoric/composition vs IEP/ELA depends on the highest score; the cut-off table was not readable in the fetched HTML.

  1. Check the application checklist and submit the online application before the target dates; two recommendation letters from teachers/counsellors and an original personal statement are required.
  2. Provide English proficiency evidence (TOEFL, Academic IELTS or Duolingo; tests no more than two years old; TOEFL code 0903).
  3. After provisional/early admission pay the non-refundable deposit; submit final scores for final admission and pay tuition.
  4. Admitted students: apply for AUC housing, prepare entry visa, attend the mandatory international student orientation and follow the procedure for the Egyptian student residence permit.
