Admission and application

Fee sheet is published as a Kazakh-language PDF per academic year; no international-student rate differential is shown. Applications are accepted year-round.

Language requirement: Undergraduate English: B2-level entry corresponds to IELTS 5.5 (no section below 5.0), Cambridge B2 First 160+ per KIMEP's table; lower levels (B1+ IELTS 5.0, B1 low 4.5, A2 4.0) lead to preparatory English (language courses charged separately: 682,320 KZT per level for basic English). Exemption from the test with valid international certificate.

  1. Submit the online application on the applicant portal and upload ID copy, optional IELTS/TOEFL, digital photo.
  2. Upload copies of secondary-education certificate (UNT results apply to Kazakh citizens); foreign documents need a notarised Kazakh/Russian translation and recognition (nostrification) in the first academic semester.
  3. Take the KIMEP English placement test unless a valid IELTS/TOEFL/other certificate is submitted.
  4. Submit originals and medical documents (form 075/u or equivalent for foreigners; foreigners are advised to take the medical check after arrival in Almaty).
  5. Receive admission decision; sign contract and pay.
