- Coverage
- Free tuition, monthly allowance only if the international agreement provides one, medical care under Ukrainian law, dormitory on the same terms as Ukrainian citizens. Not covered: recognition (nostrification) of prior education documents, annual medical insurance, temporary residence permit, visa and travel. All state-scholarship study is in Ukrainian, starting with a free one-year preparatory language year without allowance. Documents needed (studyinukraine.gov.ua): passport copy, diploma with transcripts, motivation letter, research proposal for PhD, application form, all translated into Ukrainian. - Deadline
- Per MON and studyinukraine.gov.ua: by 15 December Ukraine informs partner countries of the number of places, requirements and documents for the next academic year; by 31 March partner countries submit candidates (Kazakhstan 1 March per its agreement); by 1 August the Ministry announces final decisions. Academic year 1 Sep - 30 Jun. The 2026/27 total number of places was not published on the pages reached.
