Admission and application

Admission is competition-based on SAT and school grades; no minimum SAT is published. Grade 12 results are not considered but the diploma must be passed. Freshman and sophomore entry require MEHE equivalence steps. Individual majors were not enumerated because the programme list page loads dynamically; programme-level entries below are faculty-level or the MD/MPH/online programmes named in the fee schedule. Page widgets with ranking figures were ignored per project rule.

Language requirement: Undergraduate placement (not a pure admission minimum): AUB-EN 40 or higher, TOEFL iBT 4.5 on the 1-6 scale (as of 21 Jan 2026) or IELTS Academic 6.5 place into English 102; lower scores place into English 100B/100A. Graduate RUSE: TOEFL iBT 97, IELTS 7.0, Duolingo 120 or AUB-EN 40; TOEFL iBT 88-96, IELTS 6.0 or Duolingo 110-115 require English 300 alongside courses.

  1. Submit the online application within the deadlines; the SAT is mandatory for undergraduate applicants and cannot be replaced by another exam.
  2. Prove English proficiency (SAT EBRW 530 or higher, or AUB-EN, TOEFL iBT, IELTS Academic) and upload scores to the student portal.
  3. Obtain from the MEHE Equivalence Committee the permission to join the freshman class (foreign certificates need an equivalence of the Lebanese Baccalaureate; sophomore entry).
  4. After acceptance confirm the major, pay the confirmation fee and apply for housing early.
  5. If applying for need-based aid, submit the financial aid application within 30 days of the Financial Aid email.
