Admission and application

Faculty of Engineering Science language scores are stricter than the general KU Leuven minimum (exact values not captured).

Language requirement: English: IELTS Academic 6.5 overall (no One Skill Retake), TOEFL iBT 79 (no MyBest), Cambridge C1 Advanced/C2 Proficiency, ITACE C1/C2; Duolingo not accepted. Some faculties (e.g. Engineering Science) require higher scores. Exemption if previous diploma was taught in English at a campus in AU, English-speaking CA, IE, NZ, UK or US. Dutch: B2 (C1 for some programmes).

Create an account in the KU Leuven application web app and fill in curriculum.
Select programme and academic year; upload requested documents (pdf/jpg).
Pay the EUR 120 non-refundable application fee.
Submit; admissions team evaluates (can take considerable time); outcomes: admitted, conditional admission or refused.
If admitted: apply for visa, then register.
